Daniel Gómez

Founding and managing partner of MdF, Daniel Gómez holds an economics degree at Universidad de Barcelona, and a General Management Program at IESE (Universidad de Navarra). He is also a member of the IEAF (Spanish Institute of Financial Analysts). He is married and a father of three.

Daniel started his professional career at La Seda de Barcelona, a chemical company listed in the Madrid stock Exchange. After two years, he moved on to work on the family businesses, initially in Invergest S.A. (a stock brokerage) as a financial analyst. In 1992 he became CEO of Gestefín S.A., SGIIC, and the core of their family office. Soon afterwards he transformed Gestefin in a multi family office by joining efforts with another significant family group in Barcelona.

In 1998 he became also CEO of Norvo, S.L. (holding company of the family group) and of real estate company Alhambra. He is currently in charge of the entire family group, which makes investments in financial assets, real estate, and private equity.

Daniel Gómez is a board member of the following companies: The Colomer Group, Sidorme Hotels y EPREC S.A., and chairman of Alroges, a real estate investment company.

In 2000 he created a charitable foundation, Fundación Ilusiones (www.fundacionilusiones.org), dedicated to help seriously handicapped children. Since its inception he is also its chairman.
